Strengthening the Community Action Network

On September 24th, Community Action Partnership NJ, Inc., together with their collaborating partner, Department of Community Affairs, Office of Community Services, will be hosting a free conference for the CSBG funded agencies in New Jersey, their employees, and board members for a virtual event.

This event focuses on internal collaborations and strengthening the CSBG network through opportunities for new and innovative partnerships and sharing ideas and practices. The day includes showcasing successful alliances within the network and idea-sharing. Speakers include a refresher on advocacy and lobbying, a topic that many volunteers will be attending. As a continuation of the CAP NJ and DCA training on reducing risk in organizations, a presentation on cyber-security will also be a featured component of the day. The final session focuses on external resources, partnerships, and information sharing as part of a panel of presenters. The round table includes mental health, addiction, counseling services experts, and a special speaker on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Throughout the day, attendees have an opportunity for virtual networking, asking questions, or simply absorbing the strength of the community action network.
